Debra Edge Taylor
Edge, living in Memphis most of her life, is a folk artist and owner of D'Edge Art & Unique Treasures. Graduating from the University of Tulsa, Edge worked for social work agencies
as a youth counselor. Several years later, she switched careers to work as a sales representative for a biological laboratory. She traveled weekly over a four state territory calling on the medical, food and beverage industry for seven years. When children came, Edge wanted to "stick around the house", so she and her husband opened a hair/art business. Her first art was sold there.

Edge has taken art lessons, but has no formal art degree. Wine bottles, guitars, license plates, bowling balls, etc. are all objects Edge paint on. Attached are bottle caps, nails, buttons, coins, fired clay pieces, and keys. Just as exciting to her as painting is finding pieces to "glue" to her artwork.

A parking garage, a skybox at a ball stadium, an elementary school wall, a church playground, four doors at a day school, a diner, and a casino all have murals painted by Edge, Painting, meeting new artists and clients, and working with her current artists keeps her busy.

Edge's work can also be found in Clarkesdale and Vicksburg MS at two folk art galleries.
